Located in the heart of the New Capital, The Islands redefines community living across 35 acres, blending architecture with the natural rhythm of water and greenery. With 1,132 apartments and 86 townhouses, the masterplan was envisioned as a collection of islands,green courtyards surrounded by trees, lagoons, and shaded pathways that create a serene and breathable environment. The concept ofsensory gardenslies at the heart of the project. Designed to awaken the five senses; sight, sound, fragrance, touch, and taste, these landscapes invite residents to reconnect with nature on a deeper level. Architecturally, the residential blocks rise seven floors, with each level carefully shifted to create natural shading for both façades and ground floors. This approach, alongside the strategic alignment of buildings with the land’s natural borders, reduces heat buildup by up to 2°C during the day while maximizing fresh air circulation.
