The Edge

Positioned on a south-facing façade, The Edge was conceived with a deep understanding of sunlight, heat, and shadow play. Our vision was to control heat gain naturally, without compromising light or transparency. Instead of conventional straight louvers, we introduced a two-layer system each layer slightly shifted to create a dynamic pattern of overlapping shadows. Every element was meticulously calculated: the spacing between the louvers, the precise depth of each blade, and their alignment to ensure that natural light softly filtered through while reducing direct heat. Beyond function, the louvers were envisioned as sculptural elements crafted to feel as though they were carved, bringing an artistic presence to the façade. Our aim was not only to create thermal comfort but also to deliver a unique interior experience where the shadows themselves become part of the design. Inside The Edge, each clinic enjoys an equal share of daylight, thanks to the consistent louver arrangement across the façade. The result is a building that breathes with its environment responsive, efficient, and artfully crafted to transform sunlight into a defining design feature.
